Updates and Additions to CMDS e-Learning

We have recently improved the CMDS eLearning module on Ground Disturbance and added a new module on Sales Product Testing and Supervision.

Ground Disturbance - Basic Awareness

The previous module on Ground Disturbance did not explore legislative requirements nor did it provide a detailed description of ground disturbance concepts. The new modified module is aimed at providing a basic awareness by introducing concepts that address the identification of ground disturbance requirements, responsibilities of workers and supervisors, and other legislative requirements associated with performing ground disturbance operations.

After completing the module, users will be able to:

• Explain the term ground disturbance.
• Discuss the hazards of ground disturbance.
• Discuss the legislation related to ground disturbance.
• Explain the process to follow for ground disturbance.
• Discuss common ground disturbance terminology.

Sales Product Testing and Supervision

This module identifies the physical properties of natural gas sales products and the required specifications for these products to be acceptable for sales. Sales specifications may vary depending on the delivery point and the customer receiving the product, this will be discussed.

The following topics are introduced:

• Supervisor responsibilities.
• Legislation related to metering.
• Natural gas sales specifications.
• LPG products sales specifications.
• NGL products sales specifications.

Each module has a 10 question quiz that will test the readers understanding of the topics covered. The quizzes are made up of multiple choice and True/False questions. A 90% or higher is required to receive a passing grade.

The Ground Disturbance - Basic Awareness module can be found in the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Category. Anyone who has previously passed the Ground Disturbance module will retain their pass mark. It is recommended that anyone who has a pass mark from the previous module review the new module and rewrite the quiz.

The Sales Product Testing and Supervision module can be found in the Operations category and the Supervisor Core Training Support Category.
