Flare Systems Update

We have recently updated the e-learning module Flare Systems.

The purpose of the update was to include information from the Alberta Energy Regulator’s Bulletin 2016-19, Reducing Failures of High-Level Shutdown Systems.

The bulletin discusses the inspection and operation of high level shutdown systems in regards to flare knock out drums. The bulletin contains a checklist titled High-Level Shutdown System Risk Assessment Checklist, the checklist can help to determine the type of inspection and frequency of inspections that are required. The checklist can be downloaded from AER Forms:
