November CMDS Improvements

In the latest version of CMDS we have improved the functionality of training plan templates, and we have improved accessibility for quiz results.

After logging in to CMDS you will notice "Training Plan Templates" are now renamed to "Programs". The pages to manage Programs allow you to view and edit everything you were able to view and edit before - such as Department, Program Name, and the Achievements included in the selected program. In addition, you can now add a long-form description to a program, and you can view program enrollments (i.e., the people assigned to the program, and the completion progress for each person). Editing a program is as simple as clicking the program name (or the pencil icon beside the program name). From here you can add learners to the program, add or remove achievements, adjust the time-sensitivity, and update the required status of individual achievements.

For administrators, under Tools > Bulk Update, you will now see "Assign Programs to People". After choosing the department and program, you can see the list of all the eligible people who can be assigned to the program. There is also a new option at the bottom of this page where you can indicate to the system if you want to leave existing achievements unchanged, or update them achievements to ensure they are planned/required. After assigning a program, the system automatically calculates the progress for the learner and displays this as a completion percentage; it includes in this calculation achievements in the program that may have been assigned to the learner before the program was assigned - so you can report on progress for all your learners in any program.

In addition to program improvements, the answers displayed to learners after completing a quiz are now more accessible for those who reported difficulty distinguishing between the green and red colours used to indicate correct and incorrect answers. Red (incorrect) marks now show as X's, and green (correct) marks now show as checkmarks. Our goal here is to make it easier to review and understand feedback on a completed quiz, and to make CMDS more accessible to everyone.
